How We Did This Part 3
When looking at competing products on the market, we started to notice some glaring issues with the lack of engineering in the design. The materials used and the way in which they were formed were not sufficient to counter the loads that are present when driving down the road at speed. When this happens the plate begins to bend back towards your vehicle and can actually indent the front fascia of your car as seen below.
We designed it such that the edges of the license plate bracket are hemmed to increase stiffness and to ensure a strong and lightweight component. Additionally this allowed us to use a unique self-clinching nuts that do not require the use of two wrenches when attaching your license plate as seen in the above photos.
We wanted to do things differently so we engineered the components to withstand wind loading well beyond the posted legal speed limits to make sure that you can have worry free ownership of your Stratos Meccanica product.
